Crysis 2 Multiplayer DEMO

The CryEngine3 will eat you CPU and GPU for breakfeast!

(Tested: Crysis 2 Multiplayer DEMO)

For me the Crysis 2 DEMO didn't live up to the expectations at all. This might be because I'm used to CounterStrike and CombatArms, but the aim was very shaky. Did actually just try three matches, both the mods. One of the modes are the standard deathmatch, first team to 50 kills wins. In the other mode there will be dropped a alien "drop-pod" and the team standing next to it controls it. You are supposed to defend this drop-pod, and you'll get points for how long you defend it. This pod will disappear after a while and come down at another place.

The modifications done the to nanosuite from the Crysis 1 ain't that huge. All though it was a lot easier to switch between the suitemodes. The character design is cool, the weapons are awesome, and really close to real weapons.

Even though the total experience of the game wasn't too good, the graphics where psycho. I've read several complains about that it "eats" the CPU and GPU, but for me it was actually smooth. Surprisingly the graphics are way better on PC (I played on PC) than on the Xbox 360. It's an insane difference.

This is just my personal meanings and thoughts.

CRYSIS 2: BE STRONG, BE FAST, BE INVISIBLE, BE THE WEAPON

It’s 2023, terrifying alien invaders stalk the New York City streets. Only you can prevail, wielding the supersoldier enhancements of Nanosuit 2.

BE STRONG – Take on multiple enemies with Armor mode, mince them with heavy weapons or squash them by kicking cars.
BE FAST – Get to the action quickly, then powerjump, ledgegrab and slide round the environment with amazing agility.
BE INVISIBLE – Use Stealth mode to set traps or hit and run your enemies, or snipe from a concealed position.
BE THE WEAPON – With the Nanosuit, you choose how you want to play.

This is what Electronic Arts write about the game on their official Crysis 2 site. (http://www.ea.com/crysis-2)
The game itself will be released on March 22nd 2011, but before that I will have the pleasure of trying the demo. For information, I'm a huge HALO fan and I enjoy almost any futuristic game. Therefore I really hope it lives up to the expectations of the trailer and the reviews I've read all around the Internet. Currently I'm downloading the demo, but I promise that as soon as I've played through the demo, I will write my own review!
